Thaipusam in Singapore
In Singapore, to ensure it is a smooth sailing process in Singapore, traffic on the road is diverted, and lanes are closed for the festival. This traffic crowd is done this way to ensure smooth sailing for the Hindu devotees converging for their annual processional march. The devotees’ march 4km from Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple to Sri Thendayuthapani Temple.

Covering Thaipusam 2020
This year I am even more excited to take pictures at Thaipusam to learn more about the festival and its celebration. Seeing people chanting to make their peers more motivated is the most heart-warming movement ever. To make it more attractive the peers who are carrying the Kavadi dance to their chanting to make themselves energize and feel more powerful.
Thaipusam is close to my heart as I can see how Hindus celebrate this festival with such passion and love for their religion. It displays the dedication they go through for this event to ensure it is a successful ordeal. Taking pictures of this celebration brings me joy and euphoria to share the process to the rest of the world. Let’s see whether I am able to take wonderful shots in Singapore or maybe Malaysia?
