I am honoured to share my documentary photographs of the Haenyeo – who are women divers belonging to Jeju Island which has been featured in National Geographic Magazine!
National Geographic is a magazine which showcases the Earth and the planet’s nature, history, culture and creations in a very beautiful and impactful manner. I have always found their stories and photographs very engaging and interesting.
As a photographer, I have always had the dream of being featured in NatGeo. When a request came from them to showcase my photographs of the Haenyeo I was overjoyed! This documentary project has been a major milestone in my career.
I am very grateful for all the opportunities and openings I have received so far and wish to continue to work with all zeal and commitment.
This series of photographs was shot with a mirrorless camera. I wish to visit Jeju Island when I can travel again with a medium format camera.
Thanks COCO Public Relations for coordinating.
