I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be holding my second photography exhibition at The Fullerton Hotel – East Garden Foyer on 18 April to 30 May 2019. Titled “Longevity Okinawa”, this year’s exhibition will be focused on the centenarians of Okinawa, whose secrets to their longevity will be revealed.
I came across an article 12 years ago detailing on the health and longevity of the people in Okinawa. Since then, I was deeply intrigued, for the population made up one of the most centenarians in Japan. In search for their secrets behind the long lives they lived, I travelled to Okinawa in April 2017 in hopes to encapsulate the essence of longevity through my photos. Through the exhibition, I hope to reveal the unique stories behind each portrait taken, therefore allowing viewers to get a better understanding on the secret to longevity.
Longevity Okinawa is proudly sponsored by the Okinawa Prefectural Government, Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau, BenQ and The Fullerton Hotel Singapore. Do contact me directly at jose@josejeuland.com if you know of anyone who would be interested in collaborating with me or in sponsoring for the exhibition.
